YWMHA is pleased to offer registration-fee financial assistance to families in need through its partnership with the Brendon Oreto Foundation. All applications will be reviewed, and funding will be granted to as many applicants as possible.
YWMHA will also continue helping families explore other financial-assistance options when additional support is needed.
Who Can Apply?
Families registering a player with York West Minor Hockey Association for the 2026–2027 season may apply for assistance.
How Funding Is Awarded
Applications are reviewed individually. Funding is limited and will be awarded to as many eligible applicants as possible.
Required Player Contribution
Approved players must pay at least $50 toward the registration fee. This amount becomes non-refundable once the player steps on the ice. The player must also be registered to play with YWMHA this season.
- Complete the online financial-assistance application beginning August 18, 2026.
- Register the player with YWMHA for the 2026–2027 season.
- Pay the required minimum player contribution of $50.
- Watch for follow-up communication regarding the application and available funding.
